The partnership with Eskenazi West 38th Street Clinic was extended in the creation of the program plan above, addressing the barriers to contraceptive use in the adolescent population they serve.  There were multiple recommendations to focus on in creating a program and clinic staff were instrumental in choosing parents as the vehicle for change in their adolescent population.

Internship
Maternal Health Training
October 2014

This training was created as a part of my Public Health Internship at Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana, Inc.  ASPIN manages a behavioral health network and wanted me to apply an area of interest to the behavioral health profession.  Pregnant women and new mothers may experience physical complications, anxiety, depression, or substance abuse.  It is important for behavioral health professionals to know the specific symptoms and best practices in treatment for pregnant women and new mothers experiencing these issues.

Internship

Survey Results and Analysis

May 2014

I created two versions of a web-based survey to administer to current Certified Recovery Specialists for Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana, Inc. as a part of my internship. The Lime Survey version was up on two laptops at the CRS Spring Conference, which allowed for people with limited internet access to complete the survey that day.  After the conference, the survey was sent out using a link created by QuickSurveys.com.  The results of that survey were aggregated and analyzed in this report.
